Supplying to fine department stores and exclusive boutiques the demand continued to grow, Tusk expanded its operations to include a showroom, warehouse, and a flagship store at 242 West 26th Street in Chelsea, New York City in 2004. Tusk, like the ivory amulet, embodies the sublime blend of bold and lusciousness. At the helm of Tusk’s design team is Paul Iwao, born in Japan, and now lives in the United States. A fine artist who has well respected background in jewelry, apparel and handbag design. Mr. Iwao began his career with the legendary fashion designer, Halston. Paul is a world traveler garnering inspiration from every country he visits. He had an opportunity to travel to India and quickly fell in love with the country and its culture. Mr Iwao is responsible for the Tusk brand from conception to technical design overseeing manufacturing and distribution of all the leather goods that Tusk produces. |
