| Gary Graham born and raised in Wilmington Delaware, educated in Chicago’s School of the Art Institute in educated in textile & costume designs is discernible in each season’s collection weaving a sense history in each silhouette. |
| Graham’s first collection, produced in the basement of a historic Tribeca flatiron building; reflects an historical reference with a modern interpretation with modern draping creating a effortless silhouette. The entire collection was made entirely of garment-dyed, quilted, silk organza. |
| Drawn to contrasts or opposites, discovering the beauty in dichotomies such as light and dark or rustic and refined. This is reflected in some of his trademark like his mercurial dresses, fitted jackets, blouses and slouchy knits all crafted in the rich palette steeped in texture achieved through the washing and dying process. Inspirations for past collections have included Dust Bowl era photographs from the American west during the Depression. Graham derived fabulous influence from gypsy culture in Europe form the turn of the century. Other inspirations are from antique engravings, botanical specimens and abandon warehouses outside of Wilmington. |
